Randy Trowbridge

Randy has been VAC’s head coach since 1986.  He has had extensive background as coach and swimmer after first beginning his swimming in Washington State. By the time Randy finished a college swimming scholarship in 1977, he had already coached at the YMCA and USS level. Subsequently he broadened his experience, coaching at a college and several more USS teams in Washington state, where his teams became recognized for their fine stroke technique. Randy can be credited with having guided VAC to its highest level of achievement, culminating with one of his athletes setting an American record in 1997.

Mike Hruska

Mike is a product of the Verona Aquatic Club.  He started swimming with VAC when he was eight and continued to swim VAC through the off seasons of  the Verona Area High School team and even through some of his college years of swimming with the UW-Badgers and the UW-Lacrosse Eagles.  He started his career by coaching and teaching lessons for several summers during college.  He is now VAC's Red, Blue, and Masters coach.  He is also the Head Coach of the Mount Horeb Gators summer team and was recently named the Head Coach of the Verona Area/Mount Horeb girls high school swim team.

Leonel Moreno

Leonel Moreno is the newest addition to the coaching staff at VAC. A native to Wisconsin, he first started his swimming career in high school swimming for the Madison Memorial Spartans. Madison Memorial holds claim to having one of the top high school programs in the state for both men’s and women’s swimming. He now joins the coaching staff eager to share his knowledge and passion for the sport.
