Cranberry Apple Crisp
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Place 4 large
apples peeled and sliced, 1 cup fresh cranberries, 1/4 cup brown
sugar, pinch of all-spice in 9-inch baking dish. Mix 3/4 cup
brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup aots, 3/4 tsp cinnamon 3/4 tsp
nutmeg, and 1/3 cup softened butter. Sprinkle over fruit and
bake for 30 minutes.
Power Breakfast Cereal
1/2 cup raw rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I use pecans or almonds)
1/4 tsp cinnamon OR allspice (I prefer allspice)
1/2 cup dried fruit (I used blueberries but cranberries are really
good)
1/2 cup dried non-fat milk powder
1 TBS dried powdered egg white (this is optional but will give an
extra 7 g of protein)
2 Tbs flax seed
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup non-fat yogurt (plain or vanilla -- vanilla is better)
Mix all together. Place in container with lid and refrigerate
overnight. This makes enough for 3 breakfasts. It is VERY
filling.
